James Fisher was one of two founding member of The Colorado Group Inc.  He was instrumental in developing the company to its current position as the leading commercial real estate agency in Boulder County.

James’ expertise in income property sales and retail property leasing has resulted in over 1,000 commercial transactions over the last 25 years.

Previous Professional Experience:

Prior to establishing The Colorado Group, James was general manager of Jones Optical Company and took the venture public with sales worldwide. His broad business background in Europe includes working with Lange Ski Boots and Porsche GMBH. In the U.S., James was a consultant to Ford Motor Company and Blue Cross/Blue Shield. He also served as deputy regional director of the U.S. Small Business Association’s Midwest Region. For many years he has been Aegon Realty USA’s agent in Boulder.

Education:

James studied at the University of Iowa and completed his education at Schiller College in Kleiningersheim, Germany. He is fluent in German and also speaks some Spanish.

Activities and Organizations:

James has served on many community boards and is currently on the Board of Directors of Boulder Friends of International Students.

Family and Personal Interests:

James and his wife Marty, a retired teacher, have two daughters, both of whom are sports enthusiasts.  In his free time James restores vintage motorcycles, skis and hikes with his family.
