BOULDER, COLORADO – September 28, 2017 –Nearly fifteen years ago Montbell Co., one of the most innovative outdoor equipment companies in the world opened its North American distribution center in Boulder. Established in Osaka, Japan in 1975, Montbell is known as one of the leading producers of state-of-the-art outdoor equipment in the world.

After months of negotiations, Montbell made the decision to continue leasing their distribution center a 19,200 sq. ft. building at 3550 Frontier Avenue in Boulder. They will also continue to operate their retail store at 1500 Pearl Street.

“Because Boulder is the epicenter of the outdoor sports and lifestyle industry in the United States, we believe it’s the best place to expand our brand. We have been in Boulder for 15 years and we love being part of this special community,” said Isamu Hashimoto, Executive Director for Montbell.

The deal for the extension of the lease for the tenant was negotiated by Audrey W. Berne, Associate Broker and Principal for The Colorado Group, Inc. who has worked with Montbell over the last 15 years.

Retail locations include Boulder and Portland, and in the near future, the company is wishing to expand within Colorado and the west coast.
