BOULDER — My Trail Co., Demetri ‘Coup’ Coupounas’ reincarnation of his former outdoor-gear company GoLite, has moved into 2,225 square feet of space at 1418 Pearl St.
My Trail makes outdoor clothing and equipment and sells it directly to customers.
Coupounas used crowdfunding to raise capital for the company that he and his wife, Kim, started in 2015.
“As a Boulder company, we love having our combined flagship store, headquarters and distribution center all in one place on Pearl Street,” Coupounas said. “Thank you to the over 350 customers who invested in us, including many right here in town, making this possible.”
GoLite, formally Coupounas LLC, was founded in 1998 and became noted for its technical gear such as jackets, backpacks, tents and sleeping bags. But saddled with leases on stores that proved too large to be sustainable and a product mix that had grown too broad, the company filed for bankruptcy in 2014.
Jason Kruse, principal/managing broker and Micah Loeb, broker associate at The Colorado Group, represented My Trail Co. in the lease transaction.
